Redford will honor its public safety workers on Thursday, April 20, during the township's annual police and fire awards banquet.
The dinner is at 7 p.m. at the cultural center at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 26355 West Chicago, with cocktail time beginning at 6:30 p.m. It will be the 32nd annual public safety awards banquet.
The event, organized by the Redford Township Chamber of Commerce, will recognize the police officer and firefighter of the year as well as the recipients of other awards from the police and fire departments.
Tickets are $36 each and include dinner and an open bar. Tickets can be purchased at the chamber offices, 25050 Five Mile, during business hours; Visa and MasterCard are accepted, and checks can be made out to the Redford Chamber of Commerce.
