  • New scholarship fund

          Livonia Fire Fighters Local #1164 is pleased to announce the creation of the Livonia Firefighters Scholarship fund which will give two graduating high school seniors, who are citizens of Livonia, each $1000 towards college tuition or educational expenses. The criteria to apply is listed below. Our hope is to expand these scholarships in the future as our fund grows through fundraising endeavors.

    Please select "Livonia Firefighters Local #1164 Scholarship fund" under the section "Select a fund." Any size donation is greatly appreciated and 100% will go towards expanding the scholarship fund. 

    Criteria for the Livonia Firefighters Local 1164 Scholarship Fund

    The Livonia Firefighters, Local 1164 will present two scholarships to students meeting the following criteria:

    1.Student must be a graduating high school senior in the year the scholarship is awarded.

    2.Student must live in the city of Livonia.  Student need not attend a Livonia Public School.

    3.Student must have a minimum GPA of 3.5.

    4.Student must provide two letters of recommendation (one from a teacher/coach/youth leader; second letter must be from a personal reference).

    5.Student must provide a maximum 500-word essay telling how they have made a difference in their school and/or community.

    6.Student may use the scholarship to attend any college, university or trade school.

    7.       Student may choose any course of study.
